We Made It... Barely

The kids and I finally made it to Birmingham last night. It was quite an adventure with 2 box springs tied to the roof of the van. They made so much noise on the roof due to the wind. Jackson said it sounded like popcorn. When I got to my parents they were clearing out the bonus room. We put the mattress sets in there for Jackson and Mackenzie. It is a cute little big room for them. And to my amazement and shock Jackson slept in his bed all night long!!!!! This is the first time EVER he's done this. It's a miracle!

I spent what seemed to be hours filling out the paperwork for Mackenzie's new school. It is utterly ridiculous what all it takes to enroll someone for school. I then had to find the Shelby Co health department to get her blue immunization card switched over from Florida to Alabama. I have to say it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I just had visions of what the one in Montgomery was like and was dreading going there. The place was so very nice, clean and I was helped very quickly.

So this afternoon it's just Jackson, Avery and me at the house. My parents had to go to Montgomery today and took Mackenzie at noon. I have to admit I took a short nap with Avery. I could barely keep my eyes open. I've been going 90 to nothing and it's all catching up with me. I just hope to get a little more rest. I finished putting up all of our things at my parents house. It feels so good to have all the clothes put up and organized.

I'm off to figure out more things I need to do. I can think of so many already. I will definitely stay busy and I'll also be looking for a job in all of this. Hopefully I can find something decent enough to help us get by.
