Long Abscence

I know I haven't posted in quite a long time. Almost 2 months. My life has been crazy, insanely crazy. Lee's been gone off and on since December 28th. I believe he has been home for maybe 6 days total since then. He graduates from manager training on March 2nd and the movers arrive on March 4th. I've been packing up the house like a maniac. We have so much stuff it's ridiculous. I think I'm finally 3/4 of the way through. Jackson's room has had the fortune of being the box room. He had to take the over flow of boxes when my kitchen became too full with boxes.

We are very fortunate that they are paying for our entire move. I got to pick up boxes from the moving company and they've been great. I have packed 10 wardrobe boxes already. Yes, it's insane. We've still got enough clothes to pack up 5 more but those will wait until the movers come. I've already given away the equivelent of maybe 8 boxes of items to my neighbors. Okay, I take that back, it's more than that.

It has been very difficult for me to do all of this with 3 kids. I think I'm going to go crazy. My neighbor Donna has been great. She has taken Jackson to story time at the library the past 2 weeks so I could have some help. She even took Avery with her the first week. I was finally able to go to the Dr. that week. My BP was down to 120/80 and I got to go to my other Dr. and finally get my Depo shot so I won't get pregnant for the next 3 months. Yippee! Well... not that it's an issue since Lee's been gone. I procrastinated in getting the shot because I didn't want to have to go up to the office and wait with 2 kids. Then I had my period and I realized I hate this and the shot will stop it so I needed to go get it done.

I am still watching the news every day. I'm disgusted and sickened by the path our country is heading down. This stimulus package is nothing more than a spending bill. The liberals threw in the plans that they've wanted funded for a long time and never got funding for. These programs will not help stiumlate the economy. Please tell me how $400 MILLION towards STD prevention will stimulate the economy? Yeah, I didn't think so. I think John McCain said it perfectly when he said that his bill is "generational theft". I called both my senators and my representative to tell them I would like for them to vote no. Only one of them voted yes and it was the liberal senator Bill Nelson.

I heard that most of the offices had their constituients calling in and asking them to vote no and it was 10-1 margins and in some districts even as high as 100-1. Let me ask then why did those whose constituients overwhelmingly wanted them to vote no still voted yes? I thought they were to represent the people. I can't believe I ever thought they really cared what we thought. I hope when Bill Nelson comes up for relection there is a 100-1 no vote for him.

Seriously this whole economic situation is disgusting. Let's reward those who made bad mortgage choices and have the government (that really means you and me) subsidize their interest rates so they can afford to pay their mortagages. And even better, at the end of 5 years they get $5000 to pay down their mortgage IF they paid their mortgage on time. Yes, that's $5000 of yours and my money. So your neighbor who overextended themselves when they made $30k and bought a $250k house well congratulations! YOU get to help them out during this hard economic time. No, you weren't asked if you wanted to help them. You weren't given a choice. That is all being taken away from us.

Anyone with eyes can see that this country is heading towards a Socialist path. I said this before Obama was elected. When Newsweek (I think it was them) had their cover state this same thing I was shocked. Shocked that mainstream media would even say it out loud. I guess when it's so blantantly obvious even the liberal media can't ignore it.

So to those of you reading this who voted for liberal candidates thank you. Thank you for voting to spend my money on those who don't want to help themselves. Thank you for voting to spend my money on those who took out mortgages that they could not afford. Thank you for spending my childrens future money to pay for all of the new programs that will be so hard to get rid of now. Thank you for voting to spend my money to pay down your neighbors mortgage when they pay it on time for the next five years. Thank you for voting to spend my money. (Sarcasim is intended... if you don't see it then please please just go away, jump off a bridge or disappear forever.)

If the ballot has a space on it for people to vote to spend their money from their paycheck for these programs and the programs were all lined out I bet you very few would vote yes. It's the ignorant that would vote yes. I'll probably catch hell for this later but I know some of my family members are democrats (adopted and birth members included) and I can't believe you could really think this way. That's it's okay for those responsible to pay for those who aren't. I know George Bush made many mistakes and the Republicans aren't perfect but come on. They don't make up spending packages to spend your hard earned money.

Yes, I'm really saying this. Those of you who voted liberals into office are ignorant and stupid. I guess you don't care that you voted to spend MINE and MY KIDS money. Your vote should have been to spend YOUR money. Thanks a lot.
