Burned

I'm burned. Yes, sunburned badly. We took the boat out today around 12:30. It was 72 outside and windy. We anchored the boat at Crab Island and I laid down for a bit. Not more than 30 mins or so. I remember thinking that I even though it was chilly because of the wind that the sun was still bright and I'd probably end up burned. But I stupidly thought that since we weren't going to be out long that I'd be fine. In the back of my head I knew that wasn't the case. I'm a lobster. My face is really red and my chest and arms. What surprised me is my back is burned too. I laid only on my back but at some point it was in the sun.

We had a really good time. I went into work for a little bit and then had a Dr.'s appointment. I met Lee and Mackenize at the marina at 12:15. We ate lunch on the boat. It was a really nice and relaxing time. We did get stuck in the sand at Crab Island and that was not fun. Eventually we did get out and I was relieved.

The kids wanted some new goggles and snorkle. I went to Walmart on the way home and got them the full set with the flippers. What's really cool is Jackson's is a shark one. I got some other things that they wanted for the water and a few other things. I'm going to put it in their Easter basket. I figured kill two birds with one stone. The Easter bunny is going to make an early surprise visit tonight. That way they can enjoy it on the boat. I don't know how in the world I'm going to make it in the sun again tomorrow.

I bought aloe vera gel and lathered myself with it a few minutes ago. I also bought some really good sunscreen. It's 30SPF and it's anti-aging. Haha With me turning 28 in a few weeks I figure it's time to work on my aging. I'm hoping that with me laying it on thick tomorrow that I won't get burned any more than I already am.

I'm off to rest. I'm tired from today and can't wait for tomorrow.
