Lee and I had a date night on Saturday. Jana watched the kids and we escaped into adult land. We had a very nice dinner at Ruths Chris and it was the best filet I've ever had. Oh my gosh! It was so freaking good. The steak almost melted in my mouth. Yes, it is pricey but worth every penny. We got all dressed up and were able to eat like adults. It was great. Although I do have to admit Lee probably made more of a mess on the table cloth than our kids do somestimes. We were going to go see The Departed at the movies but we didn't get out of dinner until 9:15 and the movie started at 8:30 so we had to 86 that idea. We went into Walmart instead and got a few items.
When we got home around 10:30 my Jackson was still up. I couldn't believe it. He was so excited to see us. Lee then started working on Jana's computer and he figured out that she needed more ram. We had an extra 1gb and Lee is such a sweetheart and put it in for her, ran spyware, defraged her computer and got it running. He finished around 12:30. I think Jana almost passed out while waiting for him to finish but it was worth it for her. Jackson and I were both so tired and we headed to bed around midnight. And you would think that after him being up so late he would've slept in. Nope. Isn't it great being a mom?
I've been sharing some of my bargain secrets with Audrey (Jana's co-worker) and I have been having a good time with it. She came to the office on Saturday and I went over everything w/ her, etc. and gave her coupons. We went and got some bargains and then I had to head out home. She went and got 10 rolls of free toliet paper (my kind of girl!!!) and more freebies. I'm off tomorrow to buy 25 4-packs of the free toliet paper. So I guess that means I'm not really buying it. Huh?
I've got free L'oreal HIP foundation, eyeshadow, lipsticks, etc. out of my bootie. I'll be listing a lot of it on ebay. I've made quite a bit of money lately w/ the sippy cups. We don't have a Costco here but pepople on my bargain board have been buying them for me and I've been selling them on ebay. I've also given away quite a few. I'm making a $8 profit on each set. I wish we had a Costco near us. If we did I'd buy every last single package they had. If anyone lives near a Costco and reads this I would seriously pay you to go there and buy me every single 4 pack of Playtex 9oz sippy cups in the Cars the Movie and Finding Nemo that they have. It's my bread and butter right now. I've also sold out so many more than I realized that I only have a few packs left for us.
I'm off to send out my FedEx items for work. Gotta run and tonight plan out my bargains (i.e. free items) for the week.
