Blah Weekend

I haven't had the most exciting weekend but that can be a good thing I guess. I just hate it when I don't feel as if I have accomplished anything. Yesterday Lee was off and he got up early and went to PC to p/u our computer from FedEx. We had sent in our old laptop for some repairs. It looks better than ever! Lee and Jackson got back around 10:30 and Lee was willing to go places w/ me but honestly I didn't feel like going anywhere. I finally got the want to and went to the grocery store last night. Man oh man. I hadn't been in ages and boy did I get a lot. My buggy was over flowing and I have no idea how in the world I fit it back in the car. Yes, I have a rather large car but the back was filled w/ some things and the front was filled with 2 huge packs of paper towels I got on sale. What was even more fun was coming in and not only putting it all up but cleaning out the pantry in the meantime. Loads of fun.

The weather has been so funky this week. On Thursday it was so humid and muggy and the fog was so low that I could walk outside and right into it. It was just miserable. Then Friday morning I wake up and check the weather and I see there are tornados in Alabama and a horrible storm coming through. Fortunately we didn't have the bad weather but it must've hit at some point b/c the power was out for a good 3-5 miles along the main hwy here in town. All of the traffic lights were out. I took Kenzie to school and she had no power. Candy didn't have power either. My office didn't have power for about 30 mins. I actually sat in my car until the power came on b/c it had started pouring down rain and I had to keep my cell phone in the charge since it was dying.

Work has been looking up. We got in a total of 14 orders last week AND we had gotten 35 orders last month. I've already got 13 set up to close or to that have already closed. Things have really turned around. I am glad things are better but even though it has turned around I don't want to take back what I said earlier about our wonderful marketer. (there was sarcasm)

Can I tell you just how spoiled my children are? It's disgusting to see how many toys and electronics each of them have. Jackson is only 2 and it makes me want to puke when I look into his room and see all he has. And Mackenzie. The child has a 25" TV, dvd player (she's on her 3rd), VCR, computer, Leapster, Dream Sketcher, digital cable... that's not even having me list every toy/thing imaginable. She's got a trampoline, skooter, bike... I could go on and on. It's just insane. The one thing in my defense is Jackson's birthday is so close to Christmas that he gets it all within one week. It wouldn't be fair not to treat him to the same birthday that any other kid just because of when it falls. Mackenzie's is fairly close to Christmas too. We don't typically buy them toys every week or month but they do have quite a bit. So the next time i think that they don't have enough or are lacking anything someone shoot me.

Wow... this has been full of useless ramblings. Boring boring.
